Arlington Sports Hall of Fame's Newest Member, W-L Coach Joe D’Emidio (Gymnastics)
Arlington Sports Hall of Fame will hold it's first-ever "Annual Induction Dinner", on Wednesday, October 10th at the Arlington Knights of Columbus Hall (5115 Little Falls Road, Arlington, VA).
A reception with a cash bar will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the dinner and program at 7:15. The dinner, co-sponsored with the Better Sports Club of Arlington, will pay tribute to all the 40 Honored Members of the Hall of Fame, which was established in 1958; describe the Hall’s exciting plans for the future, including the establishment of a permanent Hall of Fame display next year; and, especially, honor and induct the following new Honored Members of the Hall of Fame:
- Joe D’Emidio (Gymnastics athlete, coach and administrator)
- Bill Duryee (Track and Field athlete) (posthumously)
- Mary O’Connor Schade (Swimming and Soccer athlete and coach)
- Peter Weilenmann (Track and Field athlete)
