Softball Players -- today's practice will be INDOORS from 4:30-6:00 pm in the Wrestling Room (indoor batting cages).  Wear sneakers and long pants of any kind.  Bring helmet, bat, and glove.  

W&L Softball Players! Our 2022 campaign begins with tryouts starting Monday, Feb. 21 from 4:30-6:30 pm on the Softball Field!   During this tryout week (Feb 21-25), all players will participate in tryout, team selection, and scrimmage activities every day Mon-Fri from 4:30-6:30!  Next week (starting Feb 28) regular practices will begin.  Normally on all Mon-Fri non-game days, JV from 3:30-5:00 and Varsity from 4:30-6:30.  Game schedule is posted on the WL athletics website.  

Because mild weather is forecast for this Saturday, our final green day will be moved from the indoor site at Primetime Baseball back to our own W-L field.  REPEAT -- FINAL GREEN DAY IS SATURDAY, FEB 12, FROM 2-4 PM AT WASHINGTON-LIBERTY SOFTBALL FIELD!

Remember our Interest Meeting will be Monday, February 14, from 3:45-4:30 pm in the Little Theater room, which is located across the hall from the Activities office (down the hall from the cafeteria).  Coach Gonzalez will be back and looks forward to meeting all the players!  

If you have not already done so, please complete our Interest Form (see Files link) and turn it in at Monday's meeting.  If you cannot attend Monday, text coach Walker at 703-980-5656 and bring the interest form to the first day of tryouts -- Monday, February 21 from 4:30-6:30 pm at the field.

Feb. 2 (Weds) -- Green Day/Conditioning Workout (weather permitting) on the Softball field 4-6 pm

Feb 3 (Thurs) -- Activities Fair -- come to the Softball table (all 3 lunches) for info/meet & greet.

Feb. 9 (Weds) -- Green Day/Conditioning Workout (weather permitting) on the Softball field 4-6 pm

Feb 12 (Sat) -- Indoor Green Day at the Softball field 2-4 pm (note location change)

Feb 14 (Mon) -- Softball Interest Meeting (Varsity & JV) -- 3:45 pm in the W-L Little Theater

Feb 21 (Mon) -- TRYOUTS BEGIN!  Will run all week 4:30-6:30 pm on the Softball Field.  

ONCE TEAMS ARE FORMED, practice schedule will be:  JV - 3:30-5:00 pm and Varsity - 4:30-6:30 pm (Monday-Friday)

The Athletic Clearance packet (physical form) is still required but will need to be uploaded along with the athletes vaccination card (if applicable) on their online registration account.  Once the family has registered, they will maintain this account from year to year.  This will cut down the multiple forms parents have had to complete season to season, year to year.  The Coaches will have access to team roster, athlete’s contact, and emergency info on their phone. Coaches will no longer accept hard copies of the physical form.
