Ladies -
I hope that everyone has had a restful summer and ready to spring into action this season. We are excited to get back on the court August 2nd. Tryouts will start at 2:00pm for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders and end at 3:30pm. 8th and 9th graders will start tryouts at 3:30pm and end at 5:00pm. We will have tryouts through August 5th and start first practice on August 6th. Practice times will vary by team. You will enter through Door 8 and exit through door 9.
To participate - You will need a physical dated after May 1, 2021. APS agreement paperwork and have passed at least 5 classes last year. W-L has a new and easy way to complete the required forms online. Access this site - https://wlathletics-ar.rschooltoday.com/

On tryout day, please make sure you have a Mask, 32oz of water, and appropriate court shoes. You will enter the gym on the back side of school by the Pool, Door 8. You will exit the same way.

Starting August 6, 2021 - Practice times for rest of season are listed below
(August dates are subject to change. At times we could practice a bit earlier to accommodate gym space for other events, but most of the time we will practice at the times below.).
Varsity - 3:30 - 5:30pm -
JV - 4:00 - 6:00pm
Freshman - 4:30 - 6:30pm

To be cleared to participate on an Athletic team at Washington-Liberty High School

- Student athlete MUST be enrolled at W-L and 8th grader who lives within the W-L boundaries. (Eighth graders are allowed to participate in the high school sports that are not offered at their middle school level)
- Student athlete must have a completed VHSL Physical Form and Participation Agreement Form. A NEW Physical is needed for each school year, this school year, physical must be dated after May 1, 2020.
- The Arlington Public Schools Parent Athletic Participation Agreement form must be signed and turned in with the VHSL physical form. Both forms are to be submitted to the Athletic Trainer. - Student athlete must have VALID / CURRENT Health Insurance. Information on school insurance can be found at the Activities Office or School Accident Insurance.
