Spring track is underway. Practices are Monday through Friday 3:30pm on the track. Distance runners wrap up around 5pm, sprinters and throwers around 5:15-5:30. Meets begin in late March, most Wednesdays into May and hopefully a couple/few Saturday varsity invitationals.
Daily attendance is mandatory and we take attendance for eligibility reasons, but if something IMPORTANT comes up and you need to miss a day, let your discipline coach know in advance. You don't have to be a future Olympian to be on our team. But you do need commitment. We just ask that you try your best, communicate with your coaches and be kind.
If you were cleared for a winter sport you should have everything you need already in the portal. If not, PLEASE get your paperwork into the portal NOW - that includes proof of vaccination if you have been jabbed!

What do you need to run/jump/throw in spring track? It's easy! You need a physical and you need to sign the APS participation agreement. You also need proof of COVID vaccination OR get tested every day. If you were already cleared for a winter sport the vaccine proof is good. Whatever you need, PLEASE get it all into the portal.
Do you play football, soccer or another fast-pace sport or just have a little speed? Sign up for sprinting/jumping and we have coaches who will make you faster.
If you like longer runs, sign up for distance. We divide the group based loosely on ability, so beginners won't have their doors blown off on a daily basis.
If you are big and strong -- or just want to be -- sign up for throwing. You will be tossing appliances across the stadium in no time!
